Our awareness approach

Awareness is very important to us and our approach is based on the following pillars:

  1. Set the framework:
As organizers, we have the opportunity to set clear rules and we do this with our kink etiquette and the polynormal spirit. Basic things are laid down here, such as consent, respect, safety, stop words, discretion, photo policy and much more. Every participant accepts and commits to these by purchasing a ticket. Many people who cannot identify with these will not participate at all and if someone at our events behaves against these rules, we can kick them out at any time.

  2. Training and education:
Another component of our awareness policy is training and education. Those who are new to our events are given targeted support and have the opportunity to deal with the topic in more depth in workshops and discussions. But "social learning", i.e. copying experienced participants, is also an important element.

  3. Monitoring:
We have a trained awareness team on site that mixes with the participants. This means they notice things early on and can observe situations or intervene before they get out of hand. But many other experienced participants also have a good eye and inform us or the team if they notice something.

  4. To be there:
We are there in an emergency! Not only we and our awareness team, but every participant at our events is briefed that if the general stop word "Mayday" is used, immediate intervention and help will be provided. This means you can end a situation immediately and without fail and you are thereby requesting help. This applies to all emergency situations and can also be used by the dominant person. You can also speak to anyone on our team at any time and we will help to clarify situations.

  5. Capture everything:
Something happened to you? Maybe it wasn't exactly an emergency or super bad, but somehow strange and unpleasant? Maybe you didn't even realize it until after the event? No matter when, please contact us directly. There is no such thing as a wrong report and every reported situation is considered individually and taken seriously. We can't undo the situation, but we can look at how we can prevent such situations in the future.

  6. Derive measures and improve ourselves:
Even though we already do a lot, we are always trying to get better. Because the safety and well-being of all participants is the most important prerequisite for a successful event. That's why our team is trained in awareness and with your feedback we can constantly improve and take on even more aspects.

For more than 5 years we have been able to successfully organize events without any major problems, where everyone feels comfortable and at home.
